AB210. The cytochrome P4501A1 gene polymorphisms and idiopathic male infertility risk: a meta-analysis

چکیده
Meta-analysis Polymorphism Studies of the relationship between male infertility and CYP1A1 polymorphisms are inconclusive. To drive a more precise estimation, we performed a meta-analysis based on 1,060 cases and 1,225 controls from 7 published casecontrol studies. PubMed and CNKI literature search were conducted to identify all eligible studies investigating such a relationship. Crude odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to assess the strength of association in the additive model, dominant model, recessive model, and allele-frequency genetic model. In the overall analysis, the frequency of CYP1A1*2A genotype was significantly associated with susceptibility to idiopathic male infertility. Further stratified analysis by ethnicity showed notable association between the polymorphism and risk of idiopathic male infertility in Asians. In conclusion, these results support that the CYP1A1*2A genotype polymorphism mainly contributes to idiopathic male infertility susceptibility in Asians but not in Caucasians.

O-5: The Influence of Genetic Polymorphism On Idiopathic Male Infertility
Background: Infertility is a multifactorial disorder affecting one in ten couples, and in 50% of infertile couples, the male factor due to deteriorated semen quality is a major cause. In about 30% of infertile men seeking help for their problem, the etiology and pathogenesis are not yet known and their condition is considered idiopathic. Through animal studies conducted recently, hundreds of ge...

Aim and Background: Histones are replaced by protamines to package sperm head DNA during mammalian spermatogenesis. Protamine genes variation cause sperm DNA damage and is affect infertility in men. Therefore this study aim was investigation on association of two rs737008 in PRM1 gene and rs4780356 in PRM2 gene polymorphisms with azoospermia and oligospermia in Iranian idiopathic infertile men....
متن کاملCORRIGENDUM: GSTM1 and GSTT1 null polymorphisms and male infertility risk: an updated meta-analysis encompassing 6934 subjects
Published data on the association between the GST genes polymorphisms and male infertility risk are inconclusive. We investigated GST genes polymorphisms in a large sample size case-control study, and conducted a literature-based meta-analysis of 6934 individuals. Our case-control study showed the GSTM1 null genotype was significantly associated with idiopathic oligozoospermia, while the null g...

Objective : Infertility is the inability of a couple to conceive after one and half year of unprotected sex.Infertility is an inability of a person to reproduce, in its normal state or condition. Male infertility is considered as a major problem all over the world. The aim of this study was to investigate the association of the CYP1A1 polymorphisms with idiopathic non-obstructive azoospermia in...
متن کاملAssociation between 3801T>C Polymorphism of CYP1A1 and Idiopathic Male Infertility Risk: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
BACKGROUND Epidemiological studies have evaluated the association between 3801T>C polymorphism of CYP1A1 gene and the risk for idiopathic male infertility, but the results are inconclusive. We aimed to derive a more precise estimation of the relationship by conducting a meta-analysis of case-control studies. METHODS This study conformed to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and ...
